My Role:

I am the Director of Worship & Technology at Mission Point, I have been on staff here since September of 2013. I lead in the facilitation of teams to praise and worship God through song as well as the technology that is used to support the seeing and hearing of the Gospel, God’s Word and any other elements throughout the service.

My Story:

I would say I accepted the Lord around 5 years old as much as my 5 year old brain could understand what that meant. My family has attended Mission Point Church since 2000 when it was previously Calvary Bible Church. I went through the kids ministry and youth ministry where our current Lead Pastor Rich Aspenberg was the Youth Pastor at the time. He invested in me and my gifts and showed me how to use them for the Lord. Fast forward to the present and we are now still doing ministry together on staff at the church. It was through Rich and others pouring into me and discipling me that I was able to understand what it looked like to walk with Jesus more and more as I grew and went through different seasons of life.

Passions:

As Colossians 3:17 says,” And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Whether I am singing, playing guitar, or changing the lyrics slides in our tech booth I want to do it for the Lord. That even goes outside the walls of the church if I am at the gym or as I am involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes Surf/Skate ministries. I want to be able to be a light wherever I am and whatever I am doing knowing that if God has blessed me with the ability to do something, that I should use it for Him.
