8 years serving as the FCA Surf Camp Director in Ocean City NJ. I followed Joe Matera, a strong visionary who took great risk to build a foundation honoring God and serving our community. It is with great joy I step back passing the role to Pete Davis, a strong visionary in his own right. A leader chosen by God for such a time as this. The Matera / Britton family is filled with joy and grace as we welcome the Davis family to FCA Surf ☀️ Isaiah 41:10After much prayer and Godly counsel, our family will be entering a new season of ministry with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and Pete will be the FCA Surf Area Representative for South Jersey beginning this summer of 2021. FCA is an international, non-profit sports organization with a vision to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. Pete’s mission is to reach surfers with the Gospel and equip and empower them to live out their faith. He will be leading local Christian surf camps, encouraging leaders to connect and serve in the surf and skateboarding community, and hosting events to share the Gospel and build relationships to promote discipleship. As international travel begins to resume, Pete has been given the charge to begin leading mission groups from South Jersey to Central America, including Panama! FCA Surf has a strong reputation and support system in South Jersey and we have seen God work through FCA Surf in powerful ways and have accomplished much in Jesus’ name. This year new chapters of FCA Surf are forming in Central Jersey, Outer Banks, and San Diego, which are following the example and leading of the Ocean City, NJ FCA Surf Chapter.
