"Some of the themes in Joshua include striking out into unknown areas God is calling us to, leadership, obedience & faith!!! It’s about taking people from “here to there”! “Here” is good enough to settle in but not at the expense of “there” (which is so much better). In the end, the promised land is eternal salvation, promised to us but yet we have a major part in obtaining it. Not works, but obedience and faith in our Leader, overcoming fortresses (strongholds in our life) and driving out and destroying enemy inhabitants (sin) which will prevent us from the fullness of His promise and cause us to fall back."
