My Role:

I've been the lead pastor here at Mission Point Church since July of 2019, and before then I was the Youth Pastor since 2003. My job is to lead, teach, and shepherd in partnership with the elders.

My Story:

I live in Egg Harbor Township with my beautiful wife Misty, and our three kids Joie, Layla, and Judah. I grew up in the same town with my incredible parents and two older brothers. My parents, being followers of Jesus, raised me in the Bible and were committed to the local church and to a Christian education. I have always known who Jesus is, and at a young age I do believe I had trusted in Christ. But as I entered middle school and high school there was a lot of confusion in the assurance of my salvation due to the sin that I was struggling in. My Junior year of high school was when I cried out to God to save me, forgive me, and to come into my life and change me, but in my adult life I have come to a clearer understanding of the Gospel in that my salvation is in trusting in Jesus, and trusting in the finished work that he completed on my behalf through the cross and resurrection. Praise God.

Passions:

I really enjoy the outdoors - hiking, camping, and bike-riding with my family - I also enjoy working with my hands - out in the yard, cutting and splitting wood, and building/woodworking (my dad was a carpenter). I really enjoy the dining room table being filled with family, friends, and guests. It's the beauty of enjoying a meal together that creates space for open authentic conversations. I really enjoy participating in anything competitive. I like playing card or board games and just being playful, especially with my kids.
